FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - WEXFORD
Systems Support Engineer (Field Based), reporting to the
Customer Services Manager.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the timely and effective resolution of customer technical issues through the provision of the Datapac Maintenance solution.
Main Duties and Key Objectives of the Role:
1. Resolution of Customer Technical Issues
- The Support Engineer will be required to act as a point of escalation for all priority issues for both Datapac engineers and also for Datapac Customers
2. Professional Services
- The Support Engineer will work with members of the professional services team to ensure forthcoming projects are understood and their implications upon the support team are carefully considered and planned.
3. Technical Skills Development
- The Support Engineer will engage in a mentoring role for other Technical Services Engineers in their technical development.
- The Support Engineer will be required to drive their own knowledge and skills development in order to ensure that their skills are up to date and relevant for the role as our business and customer requirements evolve.
Other Duties:
- Responsible for driving his/her own knowledge and skills development with the support of the Sales Manager.
Knowledge:
- Experience of working in a busy and dynamic IT Support Centre of Field Service Role.
- Experience in installing, maintaining and supporting Active Directory, MS exchange, Citrix and Firewall Technologies running on HP,IBM and Dell platforms.
- Knowledge of 3Com or Cisco switching and VOIP products and storage systems (SANS and tape libraries) also an advantage.

SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER - WEXFORD
Senior Systems Engineer, reporting to
Professional Services Manager
The senior systems engineer will work as part of a team of engineers working on professional services technical projects on customer sites offering exposure to a broad range of skills and varying site requirements.
Main Duties and Key Objectives of the Role:
1. Technical Projects
- The engineer will be allocated projects by the professional services project manager
- They will be required to deliver the technical implementation solution using a broad range of technical skills varying to depend on the customer site and solution specification requirements.
2. General Professional Services Duties
- The engineer may be required to engage in presales activities to provide technical support to the sales team as and when required.
- As part of the professional services team a positive contribution to the team and to Datapac is required at all times.
Other Duties:
Responsible for ensuring they continue to develop their knowledge skills and abilities to ensure they have the required knowledge skills and abilities to meet our customer’s technical requirements in the future with the support of the Professional Services Manager.
Special Working Requirements:
The engineer will be required to work on and travel to and from customer sites throughout Ireland. Flexibility regarding working hours will be essential as scheduling of projects will need to take in to account varying customer requirements.
Knowledge:
- Windows Server 2000/2003 administration and set up experience along with Windows XP and Vista is required
- Windows Small Business Server Administration and Set-Up
- Configuration of routers and firewalls (Cisco, SonicWall)
- Content Security Solutions with MailMarshal and WebMarshall
- MS Exchange and ISA Knowledge is essential
- HP, Dell and IBM server and hardware configuration knowledge
- Experience in installing phone systems including configuration of dial plans with systems to include 3Com and Cisco a distinct advantage
- 7 Years experience as a minimum in a similar role/s would be expected for the level of experience required

GRADUATE DEVELOPER - DUBLIN
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions Division, reporting to ERP Division Operations Manager
Main Purpose of this Role: This role aims to give a Graduate Level Developer the skills and experience needed in the ERP Division to progress his/her career as an experienced member of the Development Team.
Main Duties and Key Objectives of the Role:
1. First line support for all the ERP Division’s support customers to include Navision, Manser and Bespoke Customers.
- Sole Responsibility for ensuring all tickets raised are resolved and closed within the scope of the agreed SLA’s
- Clarifies each ticket raised with the customer so it is clear what the issue is, then assigns the ticket to the appropriate Developer or Consultant to work on. Works closely with the Development and Consulting teams to resolve all tickets.
- Makes sure tickets are being acted on, closed and are/or returned to the customer
- Reports weekly on status of support tickets to Operations Manager and Account Manager
- Escalates difficult tickets to the Operations Manager
- Escalates unresolved customer issues to the Account Manager
2. Works on development projects/tickets as directed by the Operations Manager in a developer capacity.
- The consultant works closely with the project manager to assign development projects/development tickets which are fully documented to the developer
- The developer owns the development and agrees to deliver within certain timelines
- The developer updates development document/tickets with changes made
- The developer hands the development back to the consultant for testing
Other Duties:
Responsible for ensuring all support tickets are closed. Also responsible for driving his/her own knowledge and skills development with the support of the Operations Manager.

DYNAMICS NAV SENIOR CONSULTANT - DUBLIN
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions Division, reporting to ERP Operations Manager. The main purpose of this role is to manage the full implementation life cycle of the Microsoft Dynamics Navision Solution for our customers.
Main Duties and Key Objectives of the Role:
1. Works on projects as directed by the Operations Manager
- Follows the Sure Step project management methodology to implement Navision on time and within budget.
- The consultant works closely with the project manager and customer to design the correct solution as identified in the Business Process Review.
- The consultant documents all developments and configures the solution
- The consultant may deliver “train the trainer” classes
- The consultant hands over the project to Support at the project close meeting as directed by the Account Manager
2. Works on consultant tickets as directed by the Operations Manager
- Customers include all Navision support customers
- Owns all tickets assigned to him and agrees to work on them within an agreed timeframe.
- Has sole responsibility for closing these tickets and/or passing them back to the Operations Manager with an adequate explanation.
3. Assists the Division Manager when required in presales activity
- Reviews Request for Proposal and responds to the technical specifications
- Delivers product demonstrations designed to customer requirements
- Delivers Business Process Reviews
Other Duties:
- Responsible for driving his/her own knowledge and skills development with the support of the Operations Manager.
- Extensive travel to our customers site throughout Ireland will be required as part of this role.

3. Lead the Development Team in the achievement of the Team Objectives
- Work with Customers to clarify business requirements in the agreement of specifications
- Input on tenders for business solutions regarding requirements for project achievement
- Lead monitor and control internal resources for project development
- Assist in design and implementation of quality management systems
- Support the initial implementation of new projects and ensure outstanding issues are resolved
- Provide ongoing mentoring and support to developers involved in project delivery
- Provide leadership in the development of technical solutions
