Sophos anti-virus software provides cross-platform security and control for desktops, laptops, file servers and mobile devices. Sophos delivers complete protection against viruses, spyware and adware, and enables organisations to assess and control all endpoints
McAfee shields an organisation's network with comprehensive, multi-tiered virus protection for every system - from desktops, file servers, e-mail servers and Internet gateways to remote and wireless devices.

Cisco ASA 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliances are easy-to-deploy solutions that integrate world-class firewall, Unified Communications security, SSL and IPsec VPN, intrusion prevention (IPS), and content security services. This is the latest firewall offering from Cisco and replaces the Cisco PIX firewall.
Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006 is the integrated edge security gateway that helps protect an organisation's IT environment from Internet-based threats while providing users with fast and secure remote access to applications and data.
SonicWALL provides firewall products with unified threat management services such as network anti-virus, anti-spyware, virtual private networking (VPN), content filtering and other security services. SonicWALL firewalls offer secure access to organisations that use the Internet to share information with remote offices, telecommuters, mobile users and partners.

Cisco supplies integrated services routers, or sophisticated network routers that can deliver voice, video, data and Internet access, wireless, and other applications, as the network router evolves from a device dedicated to connecting disparate networks to an integrated services device capable of multiple functions beyond routing.
Cisco's highly resiliant LAN switches provide high-speed connectivity, efficiently and securely transmit bandwidth-intensive traffic and provide for evolving traffic patterns, new services, and optimised application performance. To meet current and future network needs, Cisco LAN switches incorporate application intelligence, unified network services, nonstop communications, virtualisation, integrated security and operational manageability.
WEB ACCESS FILTERING |
^ Top |
WebMarshal is a 3-in-1 Secure Web Gateway that goes beyond URL filtering to combine technologies for Web Access Control (management of employee Internet use), Data Leakage Prevention (security of confidential or sensitive information) and Web Threat Security (protection against Web-based security threats) in to one, easy-to-manage and highly scalable solution.
Websense is a leading web security solution that protects organisations from known and new web-based threats. It protects against spyware, malicious mobile code, phishing attacks, bots, and other threats. It also blocks spyware and keylogger backchannel communications from reaching their host servers.
MAIL FILTERING/ANTI SPAM |
^ Top |
MailMarshal acts as an email gateway to your organisation by filtering all incoming and outgoing email at your network/Internet perimeter. MailMarshal blocks incoming email threats such as spam, phishing, viruses, malware and Denial of Service attacks. MailMarshal also enforces acceptable use policies and ensures compliance with data leakage prevention policies.
Microsoft Exchange Intelligent Message Filter (IMF) provides advanced server-side message filtering designed to combat the influx of spam / junk e-mail. When used in combination with Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, it helps to significantly reduce the volume of spam users receive.
Microsoft Forefront provides an easy to manage unified virus and spyware protection for business desktops, laptops, and server operating systems. Its key benefits are unified protection from viruses, spyware, and other current and emerging threats, simplified administration and indepth security reports about threats and vulnerabilities.

Cisco VPN Client allows organisations to establish end-to-end, encrypted VPN tunnels for secure connectivity for mobile employees or teleworkers. This thin design, IP security (IPSec)-implementation is compatible with all Cisco virtual private network (VPN) products, and supports Windows 2000, XP and Vista (x86/32-bit only); Linux (Intel); Mac OS X 10.4; and Solaris UltraSparc (32 and 64-bit).
SonicWALL Global VPN Client software provides mobile users with secure, reliable access to corporate resources through broadband, wireless and dial-up connections by establishing secure connections to their office network's IPSec-compliant SonicWALL VPN gateway. The SonicWALL Global VPN Client runs on multiple platforms, including Microsoft Windows 98 SE, Me, NT 4.0, 2000 Professional, XP Professional, XPE and XP Home Edition, and supports leading digital certificate providers such as VeriSign, Entrust, Microsoft, and Netscape.
INTRUSION PREVENTION SYSTEMS |
^ Top |

Cisco's Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) provides end-to-end network protection. This inline, network-based defense can identify, classify, and stop known and unknown threats, including worms, network viruses, application threats, system intrusion attempts, and application misuse. Cisco IPS Sensors and Cisco IPS Sensor Software deliver high-performance, intelligent detection with precision response, from the network edge to the data center. The sensors can be deployed widely and incrementally on servers and endpoints, as dedicated appliances, and as service modules on routers, switches, and firewalls. They collaborate and adapt in real time to emerging threats
HOST BASED INTRUSION PREVENTION SYSTEMS
Cisco Security Agent deploys a host IPS to monitor processes on the host, thereby providing protection against both worms and viruses. It prevents malicious activity on the host by focusing on behavior rather than focusing exclusively on the attacks that are seen in the reconnaissance phases of network attacks. By changing the focus to behavior, damaging activity can be detected and blocked-regardless of the attack.
ENFORCING SECURITY COMPLIANCE |
^ Top |
Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP) is a new solution that controls access to network resources based on a client computer’s identity and compliance with company policy. NAP allows network administrators to define levels of network access, and if a client is not compliant (eg, it doesn't have the latest operating system updates or antivirus updates), NAP provides a mechanism to automatically bring the client back into compliance and then dynamically increase its level of network access.
Cisco Network Admission Control (NAC) allows only compliant and trusted endpoint devices onto the networkby enabling network administrators to authenticate wired, wireless and remote users and their machines prior to network access. It identifies whether networked devices such as laptops, IP phones, or game consoles are compliant with your network's security policies and repairs any vulnerabilities before permitting access to the network. By restricting the access of noncompliant devices, the potential damage from emerging security threats and risks is greatly reduced.
