Datapac - FÁS - IT Consumables Contract

FÁS has awarded the contract for the supply of their IT consumables to Datapac. Under the terms of the contract worth €200k, Datapac will supply the full range of IT consumables to FÁS. The contract was awarded under the EU procurement directives.

“As a government agency we are constantly challenged with the need to get value for money and our most recent challenge is to progress to eProcurement,” explains Joan Murphy, Procurement Officer, FÁS. “We selected Datapac on the basis of quality of product, customer service, pricing and Datapac’s readiness to deal with eProcurement.”

FÁS has 2,240 staff distributed through a regional network of 20 training centres and over 70 employment services offices. The FÁS Local Employment Services is a discrete component in the delivery of a national employment service, and is located in over 100 offices in 26 areas around the country. The IT consumables will be used nationally for administration purposes and in the classroom. The FÁS eProcurement system will interface with Datapac’s system to order the products.
