Datapac opens Business Resource Centre in Wexford Chamber offices to support local business community

Wexford, 15 June 2016 – Datapac today announces the official opening of its new boardroom and training facility, the Datapac Business Resource Centre, within the new offices of the Wexford Chamber on Hill Street, Wexford. The resource centre will offer local businesses the opportunity to avail of the latest technology and communications infrastructure.

Madeleine Quirke, CEO, Wexford Chamber, said: “We’re delighted to announce the official opening of our new offices and the Datapac Business Resource Centre. With the economy continuing to improve, local businesses are buoyant, and are displaying great enthusiasm for meetings, training sessions, and education seminars. However, many smaller organisations do not have the space or budget for their own meeting rooms. This is where the Datapac Business Resource Centre comes in.

“The centre is outfitted with the latest technologies to help businesses to make a great impression on prospective clients, provide their staff with interactive training sessions, or provide an impartial environment for interviews. The provision of these services is Wexford Chamber’s way of giving back to the community. Datapac is a truly innovative company, and a real Wexford success story, and with its support, and the addition of these state-of the-art facilities, Wexford Chamber can continue to punch above its weight.”

Opening-day festivities provided the 240 Chamber members, plus invited guests, the chance to acquaint themselves with the new offices and facilities. The Chamber’s new offices are decorated with artwork from local artist Paddy Lennon, and are sure to impress visitors. The Datapac Business Resource Centre includes invaluable amenities such as a dedicated presentation laptop, high-speed wifi, and a 65” plasma screen to bring presentations to life. As well as this, businesses will be able to make use of conference calling services and HP powered print solution using the latest HP PageWide Technology. Datapac will also offer ongoing IT support to the Chamber. The centre will be available for use by Chamber members and non-members, with members receiving a significant reduction in rental fees.

As well as a tour of the facilities, the opening ceremony also included the unveiling and rededication of a plaque in memory of lives lost on Dr. Furlongs site, Hill Street, in 1798. The plaque was unveiled by the Mayor of Wexford, Councillor Ger Carthy and His Excellency the Ambassador of France Mr Jean-Pierre Thébault.
