To begin this process, a senior consultant will carry out a site audit that will look at information and process flows, equipment and support logistics and printing-relation human factors.

This audit typically entails both software tools, to monitor print volumes, and a floor walk of the office environment. With snapshots of print volumes over a number of weeks or months, an estimation of annual volumes can be ascertained.

When this information is collated in the audit phase, a review of the overall business needs and future direction are evaluated.

A report is then presented suggesting improvements that can be made either with existing equipment or through replacements.
