Datapac wins 2018 Enterprise Partner of the Year at Tech Excellence Awards

  • Prestigious award recognises Datapac’s long-standing partnerships with leading vendors and enterprise customers, in addition to continued investment and innovation

Dublin, 25 May 2018 – Datapac, Ireland’s leading technology solutions and services provider, today announces that it won the 2018 Enterprise Partner of the Year Award at the 18th annual Irish Tech Excellence Awards in front of 600 attendees in the Citywest Hotel, Dublin on Thursday, 24th May.

The Tech Excellence Awards recognise excellence in the design, implementation and support of technology solutions and services. The judging panel awarded Enterprise Partner of the Year to Datapac in recognition of outstanding business growth and the success of its partnerships with leading global technology companies, including achieving the highest level of accreditations with partners such as HP, Datto and Sophos.

In 2017, Datapac was named the HP Inc. Partner of the Year for UK and Ireland, becoming HP’s first Irish partner to win this award. It received the award for its continued success in significantly growing revenues, new customer acquisitions and market share across all of the sectors in which it partners with HP. In addition, Datapac was the first Irish company to achieve Elite partner status with Datto, an award-winning vendor of backup, disaster recovery (BDR) and intelligent business continuity (IBC) solutions. It remains Datto’s largest partner in Ireland and is an important member of the company’s global partner advisory board. Datapac is also a Platinum Partner of leading IT security firm Sophos and has won its Irish Partner of the Year Award on multiple occasions.

Datapac was commended for its continued business growth and development, including the recent creation of 35 additional jobs and a €2.1 million investment to fund significant expansion and enhancement of its Network Operations Centre. It was also recognised for its success at enterprise level with customers, which saw it become a €60 million business in 2017. As part of this, Datapac won €5.5 million in new managed services contracts with Irish organisations last year and is expecting to grow its managed services business by a similar figure again in 2018.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Patrick Kickham, director, Datapac, said: “This is a fantastic accomplishment for Datapac and testament to our continued focus on strategic investment and developing our services to provide our customers with the business advantages they need. While this award recognises a very successful period of growth for Datapac, we’re also very excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to innovate to achieve the ambitious targets that we have set for the business.”

Karen O’Connor, general manager service delivery, Datapac, commented: “Being named 2018 Enterprise Partner of the Year is a fantastic reflection on Datapac’s entire team and an endorsement of our ability to add real value to our customers’ businesses. Our elevated partnerships with leading global vendors are hugely beneficial to existing customers and prospects. These partnerships will see us expand into new areas and drive enhanced service delivery to support customers’ unique business needs.”
