Business Development Manager – ICT Services & Solutions

Datapac is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our ICT Services & Solutions team. This role is a key opportunity to drive new business growth, manage high-value customer relationships, and contribute to the long-term success of a leading ICT provider.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development – Identify and engage prospective corporate clients, converting them into long-term customers.
  • Account Growth & Relationship Management – Develop and maintain strong relationships with key B2B IT procurement decision-makers.
  • Sales & Market Strategy – Leverage leads from marketing campaigns, dormant accounts, and cross-sell opportunities, while sourcing new leads through your professional network.
  • Solution Selling – Work collaboratively with technical teams to tailor ICT solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Proposal & Tender Management – Prepare detailed quotations, tenders, and proposals for new business opportunities.
  • CRM & Sales Pipeline Management – Maintain accurate customer records in CRM/PSA systems and ensure a structured sales approach.
  • Customer Engagement – Attend client meetings, industry networking events, and professional training sessions.
  • Sales Performance & Commercial Awareness – Demonstrate strong business acumen, working towards individual and team sales targets.
  • Compliance & Security – Adhere to all data protection and information security protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ICT Managed Services sales (ideally with a service provider or reseller).
  • Third-level qualification (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) preferred.
  • Vendor Certifications (HPE, Microsoft, Sophos, Datto) are essential, or willingness to achieve these within 12 months.
  • Proven ability to engage senior IT decision-makers and navigate complex sales cycles.
  • Strong IT skills, including CRM experience and professional report writing.
  • Full, clean manual driver’s licence valid in Ireland.
  • Project management experience or qualifications (advantageous).
