Datapac renews partnership with Solas Centre for South East Run for Life
Wexford, 18th September 2015 – Datapac, Ireland’s largest indigenous ICT solutions and services provider, is delighted to announce that it is partnering with the Solas Centre and the 2015 ‘South East Run for Life’, which will take place on Sunday 11th October. This is the second year in a row Datapac has sponsored the event.
Located in Waterford, The Solas Centre, is one of the leading cancer support facilities in Ireland and strives to empower those affected by cancer. The centre offers confidential, individualised support services such as counselling, psychotherapy therapy, massage, reflexology and support groups provided by highly trained individuals in a professional manner, all at no cost.
Each year across Wexford, Waterford, Tipperary, Carlow and Kilkenny, about 2,000 people are diagnosed with cancer. The Solas Centre is 100% reliant on income raised through its support services and fundraising initiatives such as Run for Life. The 2015 event will incorporate the tough 10-mile run for the more experienced runner, as well as the new shorter five mile ‘Walk for Life’, which is geared towards families and less experienced runners. Solas is aiming for 2,015 people to take part in either the ‘Run for Life’ or ‘Walk for Life’ challenge this year.

We encourage people in the south east to stretch their hamstrings, get their runners on or sponsor someone who is carrying out the run for this charity, which does extremely valuable work and provides important services to the region.”
