Datapac to Distribute Nuance Print Management solutions in Ireland
Datapac signs a reseller agreement with Nuance Communication, Inc., a leading provider of voice and imaging solutions, to distribute Nuance SafeCom solutions in Ireland. To support this agreement, both companies will engage in a strategic campaign to significantly grow revenues and customers in the Irish market. Datapac is forecasting that the new agreement will increase revenues in its managed print division by €1.1M this year with at least 80% of existing and new customers expected to leverage Nuance print management and cost recovery solutions.
Nuance’s cost-efficient and secure print management SafeCom solutions, enable organisations to control and reduce print costs while also managing the security of their daily printing, reducing waste and protecting the environment. SafeCom works with all types of printers and MFP devices – in small offices and large enterprises.
Using Nuance solutions, Datapac will add stronger capabilities to its managed print offering. The intuitive software will uncover new insights and enable Datapac to advise customers on how to cut operational costs further, gain better control over their printing environments and ensure document confidentiality. Central tracking of all print, copy, scan and e-mail activities, down to individual users or department level, will enable accurate cost allocation both internally and externally.
The solutions also provides Datapac’s customers with the ability to improve the security and confidentiality of company documents, as well as reducing the amount of unwanted or abandoned printing, through the use of proximity cards.
In a move that supports the BYOD generation, Datapac’s upgraded offering will also make use of QR codes. With mobile pull print, employees scan the code from a screen on an individual printing device using their smart phone. They are then brought to a log-in window which will open up their saved documents for print.
Datapac expects significant growth in its managed print business this year, with this partnership alone forecast to add an additional €1.1M in new sales from identified opportunities. Datapac’s managed print team has undergone extensive training by Nuance and have been accredited to the highest levels.
Karen O’Connor, Datapac said, “Nuance SafeCom solutions will allow us to increase our share of the Irish managed print market this year, as there is undoubtedly a need for more dynamic and intuitive software as organisations’ print requirements evolve. In addition to improving productivity, mobility and security for end-users, SafeCom also makes analysis of the entire print solution easier and helps organisations to meet their environmental targets as well as their cost reduction goals.”
Bob Pindar, channel sales manager, Nuance said, “Datapac has a strong pedigree and foothold in the Irish market, making it an attractive partner for Nuance. We didn’t just want to work with a print specialist but rather an ICT solutions provider with an in-depth understanding of organisations’ IT and business needs. Additionally, Datapac reaches into thousands of organisations throughout Ireland, providing us with the opportunity to grow revenues and increase our market share.”
"At Barretstown, we rebuild the lives of children, and their families, affected by childhood cancer and other serious illnesses. We serve 5,000 campers a year and have 1200 volunteers each year. Communication is crucially important and Datapac has helped us to streamline, improve and ensure efficiency."
"Datapac has provided us with a fantastic product and world-class levels of service and support. Whenever people ask me about our experience with Datapac I’m always ready to sing their praises and I would happily recommend their services to any organisation."
"For many years Datapac has been our sole supplier for the maintenance of Personal Computers and Peripherals in Ireland. Through their Service Centres in Wexford and Dublin, Datapac provides excellent support to our businesses throughout the country and consistently meets the SLA targets which we have set. The skill, expertise and experience of their engineers and other technical support personnel are of the highest standard."
“The value of dealing with an HP Gold partner in this process can’t be underestimated. Datapac provide us with a local touch and can cover the full range of our IT requirements, but when there is a specific technical requirement like this, they can bring the specialist technical resources of HP to the table. HP and Datapac had a thorough discussion with us around our requirement - and had really done their homework - and then were able to provide us with a very highly specified test platform for us to prove the application on before we committed to purchase.”
Datapac understands our needs and requirements and has the expertise and experience to follow through on all our requests. Our constant need to reduce costs has been assisted by Datapac's ability to suggest alternative solutions and methods whilst improving both efficiency and productivity. Our partnership with Datapac is akin to having an IT department on site that we simply could not provide ourselves.
