Datapac becomes Ireland’s first HP Platinum Partner for Printing and Computing
Dublin, 13th January, 2015 – Datapac, Ireland’s largest indigenous ICT solutions and services provider, is today announcing that it has become a HP Platinum Partner for Printing and Computing in Ireland. This is the highest level of accreditation that HP can confer on a partner with Datapac being the first to gain this elevated status in Ireland.
HP launched the new Platinum level to create an elite group of partners who represent the highest standards and certifications for HP’s solutions.
Platinum status gives customers confidence they are working with a partner that truly understands the full HP product suite and has the capabilities required to quote, deliver and implement to the highest possible standards. Platinum status requires exceptional effort across a business – with many months of training and exams to be completed.
Patrick Kickham, director, Datapac, said, “We’re absolutely thrilled that we are now the first and only partner in Ireland to achieve the highest level of accreditation with HP. It means that Datapac can provide its customers with insights, solutions and ongoing support for HP printing and computing technologies that is unmatched on the island of Ireland. This is an excellent achievement for the company and also for our team which displayed such commitment and knowledge when passing all of the stringent exams with flying colours.”
Damian Cusick, UK and Ireland channel sales director, HP said, “HP has had a long and successful partnership with Datapac since we started working together in Ireland in the eighties. Our relationship has continued to grow and evolve throughout this time as they consistently exceed our expectations in terms of revenue growth, technical expertise and market knowledge. We place huge significance on our partner programme and are delighted that Datapac is the first company in Ireland to achieve this elevated status. We’re very excited about the opportunities and pipeline ahead as HP and Datapac continue to innovate and grow together in the Irish market.”
Datapac’s new Platinum Partnership with HP follows quickly on the announcement that it was awarded HP’s 2014 Print Partner of the Year for UK and Ireland.

“The value of dealing with an HP Gold partner in this process can’t be underestimated. Datapac provide us with a local touch and can cover the full range of our IT requirements, but when there is a specific technical requirement like this, they can bring the specialist technical resources of HP to the table. HP and Datapac had a thorough discussion with us around our requirement - and had really done their homework - and then were able to provide us with a very highly specified test platform for us to prove the application on before we committed to purchase.”
