The Role in Brief

As an ICT Technical Solutions Specialist in our Image and Print division, you’ll be a vital member of our field-based team in the Dublin area. Reporting to the Image and Print Onsite Team Manager & CTO for Imaging Solutions, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing efficient technical support for Datapac Managed Print Services customers and imaging solutions.
  • Coordinating managed print technical projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Offering specialist application support, collaborating with the support administration team for streamlined deployment and support tasks.
  • Managing and overseeing the implementation of ICT projects, monitoring change management requests, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule.
  • Maintaining flexibility to support other Datapac teams when needed, demonstrating a proactive and constructive approach to cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Driving personal learning and development, staying current with industry advancements and technologies.

Key Activities

ICT Solutions Support:

  • Resolve customer queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Take ownership of escalated support issues, ensuring resolution for the customer.
  • Conduct troubleshooting activities and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and daily checks on device health and consumables usage.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance as needed.

Specialist Application Support:

  • Assist the print support team with specialised application support knowledge.
  • Work closely with the support administration team to document and understand deployment and support tasks.
  • Collaborate with support teams to gain a holistic view of hardware, software, and logistical support processes.

Project Management:

  • Move between and visit customer sites to ensure effective rollout of technical print projects.
  • Coordinate firmware upgrades across managed print sites.
  • Monitor change management requests with customer networking teams.
  • Oversee the implementation of ICT projects and ensure timely delivery.

General:

  • Undertake other duties as assigned by your manager.
  • Engage proactively and constructively with colleagues across Datapac Departments.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and consider the business impact of actions.
  • Comply with Datapac Information Security Procedures and Health & Safety standards.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Development experience in an enterprise environment (desirable).
  • Third-level qualification in an application development field (essential).
  • HP INC Certification highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Power BI, SQL, Linux, and Microsoft OS versions.
  • Additional proficiency in HTML, Azure, CSS, and other technologies advantageous.
  • Previous experience with Print Fleet Management & Managed Print Services software (highly desirable).
  • Full EU/Irish manual driving license (essential).
