Datapac has been named Diverse Company of the Year at the Diversity in Tech Awards 2025. The awards ceremony took place on Wednesday 17th September at the Gibson Hotel in Dublin. Datapac was selected from a shortlist that included Yahoo International Ltd, Oracle EMEA, Uisce Éireann, Fast Track into Information Technology (FIT), BearingPoint and Cognizant.
The win is recognition of an organisation-wide commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion that has been built over many years, not assembled in response to an awards process. For Datapac, inclusion is a business practice as much as a cultural value, and the results are visible at every level of the organisation.
What the judges recognised
The judging panel highlighted Datapac’s Pathways Inclusion Initiative as central to the award. Pathways is a structured, company-wide framework built around three pillars: widening access to technology careers for underrepresented groups, embedding inclusion in recruitment and career progression, and championing wellbeing across all life stages.
The impact of that approach is reflected in Datapac’s leadership profile. With 79% of management roles currently held by women, Datapac has built one of the most diverse leadership teams in the Irish ICT sector. The company has also achieved Investors in Diversity Bronze accreditation from the Irish Centre for Diversity, with a clear roadmap toward higher accreditation levels.
This latest recognition follows Datapac’s win at the Diversity in Business Awards 2025 earlier this year, where it took the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Award in the ICT category.
Bringing diversity in tech to the wider community
Datapac’s commitment to diversity in tech extends beyond its own walls. Through its Girls in ICT Roadshow and the STEM Passport for Inclusion programme, the company works directly with schools to open up technology careers to young people who might not otherwise see a path into the sector. In 2024, Datapac team members mentored 35 DEIS schoolgirls. That number is expected to exceed 120 in 2025 as the company expands its involvement in the programme.
Participation in Datapac’s Community Contribution Initiative grew by 250% year-on-year, reflecting how deeply the volunteering and outreach ethos runs across the team.
