Communication & Collaboration

Communication solutions designed to support how people actually work

Talk to an Expert

The way people communicate at work has changed. Teams are no longer tied to a single location, and work now happens across offices, homes, and mobile devices throughout the day.

In many organisations, communication systems haven’t kept up. Phone systems, collaboration tools, and meeting setups have evolved separately, often resulting in a fragmented experience. Calls are handled one way in the office and another remotely. Meetings work, but not always reliably. Different teams adopt different tools.

At Datapac, we design communication environments around how your people actually work, creating a consistent and reliable experience across locations, roles, and devices.

Communication & Collaboration Systems Designed Around Your Organisation

We design communication environments around how your teams operate, combining telephony, collaboration tools, and meeting spaces into a single, consistent experience across devices and locations

Why Communication Systems Become Hard to Manage

Challenges with communication and collaboration systems aren’t typically the fault of any individual system, rather the issue occurs when a system is forced to perform a task which it wasn’t designed for. In addition, many systems in use today depend on multiple tools and solutions that were introduced at different times and for different reasons. Creating a unified communications experience within a hybrid setting, for example, remains a challenge in many organisations to this day.

It is common for organisations to end up with a mix of platforms that were introduced at different times and for different reasons. The result is a fragmented experience where communication becomes less predictable, harder to manage, and difficult to bring together under a single strategy.

Without a properly designed hybrid meeting room setup, remote participants often feel like an afterthought rather than an equal presence in the room. Poor audio, inconsistent visuals, and a lack of the right hardware all contribute to a meeting experience that technically functions, but rarely satisfies.

Today's workers move fluidly between the office and remote settings, often on the same day. When the communications setup delivers one experience in the office and another at home, it creates cumulative friction, including inconsistent call quality, different feature availability, and a sense that the tools are working against the user rather than for them.

We align telephony, collaboration platforms, and meeting spaces into a single environment that reflects the realities of how your organisation works.

VoIP Systems

We design and implement voice-over-IP (VoIP) systems which reflect how your teams actually work. This may involve Microsoft Teams Phone, a dedicated platform such as RingCentral, or a combination of both depending on your requirements.

When designing systems, we consider people’s job requirements and working patterns. Office-based teams or high-volume callers may benefit from dedicated handsets, while remote workers can access the same functionality through desktop or mobile applications.

This creates a consistent communication experience, regardless of location, while also providing management with detailed reporting and analytics.

Hybrid Meeting Rooms

Hybrid meetings are now a part of everyday work, but without the right setup they frequently fall short of delivering the desired experience. Unclear visuals and audio makes it difficult to make the right impression, and remote participants can feel disconnected from what’s happening in the room.

We design and deploy meeting room solutions that provide a reliable and consistent experience. This includes selecting the right hardware, integrating with platforms like Microsoft Teams, and ensuring the room works as expected every time it is used.

The result is meetings that are easier to run, easier to join, and more effective for everyone involved.

Questions about Communication & Collaboration Systems?

It depends on your organisational needs and how your teams operate. Some organisations find Microsoft Teams Phone sufficient for their needs, while others need a more dedicated VoIP platform like RingCentral. The right solution comes from understanding user roles, call volumes, and working patterns.

In some cases, yes. However, it isn’t a perfect fit for all organisations, particularly where advanced call handling or analytics are required.

Beyond making and receiving calls, modern VoIP platforms provide flexibility across devices, better call management, and detailed reporting to help understand how communication supports the business.

AI adoption, improved data practices and digital-first service delivery are active priorities that leadership is expected to make measurable progress on. At the same time, budgets are under pressure, compliance obligations are growing more complex, and the technology foundations many public sector organisations are working from were not designed to carry any of this.
