IT Compliance

Structured governance that strengthens trust and reduces regulatory risk

Talk to an Expert

Regulatory and industry expectations around information security continue to increase. Organisations are now required to demonstrate documented controls, structured governance, and measurable oversight of risk. Meeting these expectations is not a box-ticking exercise. It is the ongoing discipline of maintaining a governance system that reflects how your organisation actually operates, one that must move and adapt continuously, because your regulatory position is never static.

We provide IT compliance and governance services that translate regulatory requirements into practical, proportionate action. We help organisations build framework-aligned security and service management environments that are auditable, sustainable, and aligned with operational realities. The result is improved accountability, reduced regulatory exposure, and stronger assurance for customers, insurers, and stakeholders.

NIS 2 Readiness

The NIS2 Directive introduces enhanced security and reporting obligations for many organisations operating within critical and essential sectors. We support structured gap assessments, control mapping, and implementation planning to ensure alignment with NIS2 requirements. Our approach ensures obligations are clearly understood and translated into achievable actions.

Questions about IT Compliance & Governance?

The starting point is understanding which regulatory obligations actually apply. Many organisations assume they have a clear picture of this but find on closer examination that their obligations are broader than expected, particularly where they operate in regulated sectors, process personal data, use AI systems, or form part of the supply chains of organisations that are themselves subject to regulation. An initial scoping assessment is the most efficient way to establish the full picture before committing to a programme of work.

Insurers are increasingly requiring organisations to demonstrate documented security controls, structured governance, and evidence of regulatory alignment before offering cover or settling claims. Organisations that cannot demonstrate this face higher premiums, reduced cover, or in some cases refusal of claims on the basis that adequate controls were not in place. A structured approach to IT compliance and governance directly addresses the evidence requirements that insurers now expect.

Regulatory obligations evolve, and so do the environments organisations operate in. A compliance posture is not a fixed state. Every change to your technology environment, every new supplier relationship, every shift in how data is processed, and every update to the regulatory landscape has the potential to alter your position. The question is not how often you should review, but whether your governance system is designed to surface those changes as they happen rather than after the fact. Organisations that treat compliance as a point-in-time exercise will always be catching up. Those with a live governance system are better placed to stay ahead.

The most important first step is understanding what AI is already operating across your organisation. Most organisations discover that their AI footprint is significantly broader than IT or leadership had realised, encompassing functionality embedded in everyday business tools, approved platforms operating beyond their governed scope, and employee use of consumer AI tools that has never been formally assessed. Getting that visibility established is the foundation from which every other governance decision follows, and it is the work that organisations which leave it too long will find most difficult to do retrospectively.
